Loving Husband of Barbara. Dear father of Ann(Nick Turner) Kronenwetter and John Kronenwetter. Proud grandfather of Eddy and Eleanor.Charlie was a proud, longtime resident of New Berlin and a devoted member of Holy Apostles Church. For more than 40 years, he faithfully served our nation's veterans through his work at the VA, a role he carried with quiet dedication and integrity. He was also an active member of the Lions Club, where he generously gave his time and leadership. He enjoyed his time serving as a commissioner of the 4th of July Parade. He took his family on numerous family vacations out West, through the Rockies, and to Yellowstone.Charlie found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. He loved a his nightly games of Scrabble with his wife. They enjoyed going to McDonalds often, reliving their first date. He spent countless hours when he was younger as a ham radio operator connecting with friends near and far, and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Green Bay Packers. Saturday errands were a treasured ritual. He carried a deep appreciation for the past - often reminiscing about growing up on 13th Street in Milwaukee under the canopy of towering elm trees, riding the old streetcar to Schuster's and the great Blizzard of 1947, and going with his dad to watch the trains roll by.Above all, what made Charlie happiest was seeing his children, staying connected to the memories that shaped him, and sharing his life with his beloved wife. His steady presence, wry humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at Holy Apostles, 16000 W.
