Charles John “C.J.” Moore, age 92, of Springfield, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on March 12, 2026, at his home. Born on May 2, 1933, in Higginsport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Neu) Moore. A veteran of the United States Army who served during the Korean War, C.J. was a longtime member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Wilmington, Dalton Lodge #578 Masonic Lodge in Wilmington, and Morningstar Lodge at the Masonic Home in Springfield, where he was a 32° Mason with the Scottish Rite.

He spent more than thirty years in the banking industry as branch manager of the National Bank and Trust in Sabina and New Vienna, where he was well known and respected throughout the Clinton County area. C.J. was an avid follower of the Cincinnati Reds and the Champion City Kings baseball team of Springfield. At home, he enjoyed reading the newspaper and was always eager to set off on road trips with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife, Noel Ann (Murray) Moore; daughters Cathy Guljas of Cincinnati and Melissa (Tim) Breuer of Milford; three step-sons, Vincent Pratt of Moraine, Ohio, Victor (Beth) Pratt of Huntsville, Alabama, and Van (April) Pratt of Iva, South Carolina; grandchildren Jenna Marie (Robin) Brennili of Hamilton, Ohio, Leah Nicole (Harry) Hill of Cincinnati, Isaiah David Breuer of Milford, Ben Trapp of Cincinnati, Ally Guljas of Loveland, Courtney (Eric Meyer) Moore of Lebanon, Gabi Moore of Clearwater, Florida, Nicole Pratt of Moraine, Brittani (Jeremy Simpson) Pratt of Miamisburg, Sherry Pratt of Wilmington, North Carolina, Rebecca Pratt, M.D. of Wilmington, North Carolina, Natalie Pratt of Greenwood, South Carolina, and Desiree Pratt of Monroe, Ohio; and great-grandchildren Zachary, Victoria, Emilia, Addalyn, Avery, Henrik, and Hendrix. He also leaves behind many friends from both his personal and professional life. In addition to his parents, C.J. was preceded in death by his son David Moore, his sister Dorothy, and his daughter-in-law Debra Pratt.
