Charles Henry West

Charles Henry West, age 76, of Wilson, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Tammy Hinton West; his daughter, Crystal West Whitley, and son-in-law, John; and his cherished grandson, Conner Whitley, who was the light of his life, as well as Avery Bissette. He is also survived by his sisters, Doris Walls and her husband Billy, and Marie Peacock and her husband J.F., along with numerous special and deeply loved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Ethal West; his sisters, Shirley West Brown, Mavis Pipkin, and Ann Carol Harris; his brother, Luther Strickland; and his niece, Wanda Jenkins.

He will be remembered for the quiet strength and devotion he showed to his family, especially the special bond he shared with his grandson.
