Charles H. Brown, a dedicated family man and longtime member of his community, passed away on March 13, 2026, at the NC State Veterans Home in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Born on April 23, 1941, in Madison County, North Carolina, he lived a life defined by service, commitment, and quiet strength.

Charles proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany with his wife, Linda. After his military service, he worked for more than thirty years as a meat supervisor at Ingles, where his sharp business sense and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

He was known for his warm personality, bright smile, and consistently pleasant demeanor. An avid golfer who played nearly every day, year-round, Charles also enjoyed the excitement of NASCAR racing. A faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church, he took great joy in singing in the choir. He was always well-dressed and carried himself with a friendly spirit that made him a welcome presence in any gathering.

Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Linda Marie Little Brown; their son, Scott Brown of Candler; and his sisters, Joann Lail and Geraldine Brown of Fletcher. He was also a cherished companion to his beloved dog, Koko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Essie Price Brown; his son, Dewayne Brown; his daughter, Belinda Brown; and his brother, Lawrence Brown.
