Charles Gillis “Gill” Kennington, 85, of Milton, Florida, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on December 13, 1940, in Walton County, Florida, to the late William Jay and Frances Neal Kennington, he graduated from Allentown High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army in November 1963. He served in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge in 1965. For more than thirty years, Gill worked as a Civil Service Water Treatment Operator at several area Naval bases.
He found great joy in hunting, fishing, and growing and selling his own produce. A devoted sports fan, he watched almost any game that involved a ball, though he was happiest when cheering on his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan (Chris) McLean; granddaughter, Isabella (Richard) Hall; grandsons, Kohlmyn, Mayson, and Rhyan McLean; great-granddaughters, Halen and Mackena Hall; and two special nieces, Beverly Presley and Nadine (Chuck) Heath, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
