Charles George Crandall

Charles George Crandall, 78, of Cromwell, Connecticut, passed away on March 1, 2026, at UConn John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was the son of the late Charles and Helen Crandall. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on December 16, 1947, Charles spent most of his life in his home state, living in Milford, Old Saybrook, Wallingford, and Cromwell. He also lived for a time in Tucson, Arizona, where he attended the University of Arizona.

Charles enjoyed a long career with the Southern New England Telephone Company and later AT&T, where he formed many of his closest friendships. He also served in the United States National Guard. He found great pleasure in the outdoors, particularly golfing, dining out, and spending time by the ocean. An avid gardener, he took special delight in growing tomatoes and string beans and sharing the harvest with family and friends.

Above all, Charles’s greatest purpose was to provide for and support his family. His love for them was unconditional, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Crandall and his wife Marci Crandall, Michael Crandall and his fiancée Danielle Falivene, Stephen Crandall, Jennifer Crandall, Collin Crandall, and Michaela Crandall, as well as his three grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlin, and Keeley Crandall.
