Charles Gene Terracina

Charles Gene Terracina passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 1, 1943, to the late Barbara Virgo and Charles Vincent Terracina, he moved with his family to Opelousas shortly after his birth. He resided in Lafayette for the past 23 years.

Charles dedicated his life to helping others. He earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling and served for 23 years as a counselor in the Resources Management Services division of the Louisiana Social Services department before retiring.

He was the brother of the late Anthony Terracina and uncle to Charles Wilhelm “Chuck” Terracina and Katherine Terracina. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
