Charles G. "Chuck" Jackson

d. 2026

Penn Hills, PA

Charles G. “Chuck” Jackson, age 95, of Penn Hills, formerly of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 11, 2026 after a long and full life.

Chuck lived for 58 years in Bloomsburg before spending the final seven years of his life in Penn Hills. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Louisa “Kit” Gow Jackson, and by his brother, William N. Jackson. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey C. Jackson and James K. “Keith” Jackson, four grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

A lifelong learner and teacher with a remarkable memory, Chuck served for 30 years as a Professor of Political Science at what is now the Bloomsburg campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. Above all, he was a committed Christian whose faith guided every part of his life. He found deep purpose in sharing the Word of God with others and worshiped and served in many congregations over the years, most recently at Reconciliation Anglican Church in Penn Hills.

Chuck will be remembered for his prayerfulness, his sense of humor, quick wit, and genuine friendliness. His legacy endures in the generations he taught and nurtured, both in the classroom and within his own family, and in the many lives touched by his steady and faithful presence.
