Born and raised in the West, Charles lived a long and steady life in Sundance, where he was known for his quiet strength and deep sense of responsibility. He remained active in his community well into his later years, earning the respect of those who knew him through his integrity and straightforward manner.

Burial will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery.
