Born on July 7, 1962, McKinney, Texas, to Charles David Forder and Dorothy Ellen Chambers. He was the oldest of nine siblings. Charles lived a life grounded in family and connection. He was of the christian faith and would often quote some of his favorite scriptures.He married the love of his life, Vanicia ( Neccia) Simmons Forder, on April 13, 2011 in Van Zandt County, Texas. Together, they built a life centered on their blended family. He was preceded in death by both his parents Charles David Forder and mother Dorothy Ellen Chambers ( Stiefer). His brothers David Lynn Posey and Joshua Wayne Chambers, as well as his sister Linda LeeForder-Melton.Charles is survived by his devoted wife, Vanicia: his children Ronnie Cotten, Jonathan Forder, Darrell Donovan, Shane Donovan, Lakeasha Jones-Forder, and Lindsey Donovan-Cooksy, as well as twenty-four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Brothers, Randy Posey, Easy Jones,and Boyd Hale. Sisters, Tonia Cooksy and Lisa Pruitt.He grew up in Lavon, Texas where he developed his love for story-telling. He would often share childhood memories with his family and friends. He was rather close to his cousins AC, Randall, Johnny Charles, Patricia, and Cindy Herrera (wife of the late Felipe Herrera)as well as his childhood friends Mark Gracy and Terry Strickland, a bond that lasted throughout his life. He loved working with wood and making custom made gun cabinets and toy boxes. He often bragged that no two were alike, unique in that each piece had something different than the previous one. He held a degree in Horticulture, and would often share his knowledge about plants. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his beloved dog buddy.A celebration of life will be hosted on March 28, 2025, @ 5pm, at 16820 Timberidge Drive, Tyler Texas 75703 at the home of Cheryl Chambers.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
