Charles Evers

Charles Evers, 81, of Greenville, Mississippi, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born in Lexington, Mississippi, on December 14, 1944, to Robert and Edrey Evers, he moved with his family to Greenville, where he attended Greenville High School.

A machinist at Mosley Manufacturing for many years, Charles also served faithfully as a deacon at Southside Baptist Church. He shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Katie Lou Evers, who preceded him in death along with his sister, Charlene Evers Putnam, and brother-in-law, Jim Putnam.

He is survived by his son, Lee Evers, and Christen Caplinger of New Orleans, Louisiana; his granddaughter, Harper Anne Evers of New York City; and his sister, Bobbye Ann Oltermari, and Davis Oltremari of Ridgeland, Mississippi.
