Charles Everett Reed, known affectionately as Chuck, age 84, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on March 8, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Born on February 24, 1942, in Pioneer, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Roy Chester Reed and Edna Myrtle Coker Reed. Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force before establishing himself as a respected businessman in his community as the owner and operator of Park City Tire. A man of deep faith, he was a longtime, dedicated member of Park City Baptist Church and an active member of the Fayetteville Lions Club. He found great joy throughout his life in the outdoors, particularly through fishing and golfing.
Chuck is survived by his devoted wife, Myrna Johnson Reed; his son, Scott (Cindy) Reed; and his daughter, Debbie (Michael) Pruitt. He was a proud grandfather to Lindsay Bradford, Kasey Pruitt, Samantha (Stephen) Hull, Ashlee (Brent) Fugate, and Patrick (Carrie) Bradford, and a great-grandfather to Avery Cross, Silas Fugate, Beau Bradford, Riley Jo Bradford, Brynlee Pruitt, and Peyton Hull. He also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Lou Reed Holliman and Jetti (Marshall) Lloyd; a brother-in-law, Paul Byrge; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Byrge.
