Charles Erick Lewis, 47, of Derby, passed away on March 7, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, surrounded by his family.

Born on October 20, 1978, in Tulare, California, Erick embraced life with a joyful and unforgettable spirit. He loved fishing, motorcycles, and spending time outdoors, though yard work held little appeal. Known for his heart of gold and larger-than-life personality, he was the life of every gathering, quick with a joke and even quicker to laugh hardest at his own. His wild side and perpetual hurry often made him the last to arrive and the first to leave family events, yet his magnetic charm allowed him to make friends effortlessly and connect with people from all walks of life.

Erick is survived by his mother, Charlotte Joanne Sullivan of El Dorado; his brothers, David Lewis of El Dorado, Gordon Lewis of Moore, Oklahoma, and Ricky Lewis of Atoka, Oklahoma; his children, Destinee Roose of Fortuna, California, Cameron Lewis of Derby, and Ericka Lewis of Derby; his grandchildren, Hayden and Harvey Hoaglen of Fortuna, California; and his wife, Stephanie Lewis of Derby.
