Charles Edward "Charlie" Simmons

Charles Edward "Charlie" Simmons, age 80, of Petersburg, Tennessee, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on May 10, 1945, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to the late Jack and Margaret Simmons, Charlie spent much of his life working in farming, raising row crops and cattle, and logging. A natural tinkerer, he could fix just about anything. He loved to joke and play tricks on those around him, watching Duck Dynasty, and collecting ball caps. Above all, he dearly loved his family.

Charlie is survived by his siblings, Betty Spray, Helen (James) Owen, Debbie (Charles Jr.) Allen, and Ricky (Paula) Simmons; several nieces and nephews, including special ones Daulton (Sarah) Simmons and Cody Simmons; many great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family members and friends; and his beloved canine companion, Sassy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margie Simmons and Nell Livingston.
