Charles Edward Hoermann, age 86 of Seguin, TX passed away on March 14, 2026. Charlie was born on August 15, 1939, to Eddie and Ruby (Knetsch) Hoermann.

Charlie attended Elm Creek School and later attended and graduated from Seguin High School in 1957. He was a proud member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1961.

Upon graduation from college, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was commissioned as an officer. He served from 1962-1966 as Lieutenant, Junior Grade.

Charlie then returned home to Texas and began working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Cotton Classing Office in Austin, TX for several years. He was also a rancher and employed with Alamo Group in Seguin, TX.

Charlie and his wife Gail Butler Hoermann were active members of First Baptist Church in Seguin.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Ruby Hoermann, his wife, Gail Hoermann, great niece, Ashley Dedear, and sister-in-law, Peggy Graham.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Jo Ann Hoermann of Seguin, brothers, John Hoermann of Allen, TX, Bill Hoermann of Austin, TX, and Jerry Hoermann of Seguin. He is further survived by his niece, Cindy Dedear (Tim); nephews, Kyle Hoermann (Tristian) and Kacy Hoermann; great nieces, Laura Dedear (Logan Clements), Katherine Dedear; great nephew, Mason Hoermann, and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, TX. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, New Braunfels, TX

Serving as Pallbearers will be Tim Dedear, Kyle Hoermann, Kacy Hoermann, D.L. Schraub, Wes Hoermann and Craig Gabriel.
