Born at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va. on September 14, 1936, Chuck was the youngest of three children, and forever doted on by his two older sisters, Patricia and Frederica, collectively forming the nucleus of what would become the Schauss-Cornett-White family tree. He was a devoted husband to Anne Spencer Schauss for 56 years and a loving father to four sons, Douglas, David, Daniel and Daryl.Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent over thirty years as a Hydrologist and Meteorologist working at the National Weather Service. After retirement, he had a successful second career as a real estate agent with Weichert Realty. Dad was known for his expertise in creating river forecasting models, his attention to detail and his unwavering loyalty to his family and good friends. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions.Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.Dad's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed coaching his boys in various sports activities, hunting and fishing trips at the cabin with his Hunt Club buddies, and most of all visiting with extended family on many occasions. His love for beekeeping was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade.He is survived by his four boys and their wives, Douglas (Lisa), David (Laurie), Daniel (Alexis), Daryl (Maura) and 12 grandchildren, Evan, Emily, Lydia, Morgan, Madison, Derek, Gabriella, Hannah, Katrin, McKenna, Kamdyn, and Keeley, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.A viewing will be held on March 13, 2026 at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on March 14, 2026, also at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, at 11:00 am followed by burial at National Memorial Park.We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, the family he helped build and the memories we will cherish forever. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
