Charles Harrah ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Johnson City on Mar. 17, 2026.Charles Edgar Harrah, 78, Elizabethton, TN, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his home.Charlie was a native of Williamsburg, WV, and had been a resident of Elizabethton for most of his life. He was a son of the late Eugene Prentis and Anna Lily Williams Harrah.Charlie was a licensed electrician and owner of Harrah Electrical.He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, and was constantly modifying his bike as well as buying clothing and apparel. Charlie was a proud, active member of the Johnson City Chapter of Rolling Thunder.He also enjoyed raising Jack Russell Terriers, including his favorites, Buckshot, Blade and Bullet.In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Elizabeth Harrah, in 2009, his daughter, Ann Harrah, one brother, James Morgan Harrah, and one sister, Carol Sue Myers.He is survived by three brothers, Robert E. Harrah, Clarksville, MD, Thomas Ray Harrah, Laurel, MD, and Larry L. Harrah, Lewes, DE; two sisters, Virginia Elizabeth Bost, Clarksville, MD, and Helen Marie Childers, Fairlea, WV; several nieces and nephews.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
