Charles E. Stambaugh III

Charles E. Stambaugh III, known to all as Charlie, passed away on March 12, 2026 at UMPC Hanover Hospital at the age of 63. Born on September 12, 1962 in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was the son of Elvira “Vera” R. (Protocollo) Stambaugh and the late Charlie E. Stambaugh, Jr.

Charlie found joy in the things he loved most—working on his cars, riding his four-wheelers, and spending time hunting. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle whose quiet presence and steady ways left a lasting impression on those closest to him.

He is survived by his mother, Elvira “Vera” R. Stambaugh; his sister, Maryann Shearer and her husband Douglas; and his nephews, Nicholas Shearer, Joseph Shearer, Michael Shearer, and Andrew Stambaugh. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charlie E. Stambaugh, Jr.; his brothers, Michael Stambaugh and Kevin Stambaugh; and his niece, Hannah Stambaugh.
