Charles E. Morris, Jr., 84, passed away on March 15, 2026, after a long struggle with dementia. He is now at peace.Born in 1941 in Baltimore, Chuck enjoyed a youth full of adventure only the city could offer. As a teenager, he moved with his parents and brother to Harford County, where he attended North Harford High School, graduating "cutest in his class" in 1959. He was a student at the University of Maryland before entering the U.S. Navy in 1963. He became an electrician's mate serving on the USS Sea Leopard and then on the acclaimed nuclear submarine, USS Triton, sailing on missions around the world until 1969. From 1969 until his retirement 35 years later, he worked in customer service at Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. During those decades, Chuck loved golfing in the Poconos, afternoons at Pimlico, and crabbing on the Magothy River with lifelong friends. In retirement, Chuck and his best friend and beloved wife, Ginny, relished many cruises and trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. They were the great love of each other's lives. Chuck's family was everything to him; he adored his children and grandchildren. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Bertha Morris, and brother, Michael Morris. He is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Ginny; his four children, Jackie Childress, Charles, David, and Mary Kate Morris; and his grandchildren, Lexi, Ryan, and Lauren Childress. A celebration of life will be held at McComas Funeral Home, 50 West Broadway, Bel Air, MD, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, 1pm visitation, 2pm service, followed by a graveside gathering at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road.
