Charles E. "Charlie" Kittner, a lifelong resident of Warwick, New York, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Kaplan Hospice House in Newburgh, New York. He was 68.
Born on December 7, 1957, Charlie was the son of the late Charles Kittner, Sr. and Patricia Carr Kittner. He retired from the Warwick Telephone Company, where he worked as an installer, and later took part-time positions at Mt. Alverno Assisted Living Facility and St. Anthony Hospital.
For fifty years, Charlie volunteered with the Warwick Fire Department Excelsiors Company, serving first as a firefighter, then as captain, and most recently with the fire police. He found great peace in the outdoors and loved to camp, frequently traveling to Mountain View and Lake George, where he could enjoy the quiet and the beauty of nature.
Charlie is survived by his siblings Charlotte Paddock (Mike), Lisa Brennan (Steve), Karen Frawley (Dennis), Prin Salvia (Mike), and Brian Kittner (Jennifer); ten nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; three great-great-nieces; and his beloved companion, Joan DeLorenzo. He was predeceased by his sister Robin Kittner.
