Charles Donley ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Hanner Funeral Service on Mar. 17, 2026.Our Beloved, Charles Donley, entered the loving arms of Jesus on March 14, 2026.He was preceded in death by the love of his life Dell Donley, his parents Morris and Daisy Donley, 1 brother - Jewell Donley, 2 sisters, Betty Howell, Bonnie Godwin. and 2 grandsons - Christopher Donley, Joseph Farmer, 1 great grandson Micah FrancoHe is survived by 4 children that adore him - Todd Donley, Kim Farmer and husband Ron, Sherry Everett and husband Kenny, Richard Adcock and wife Lizbeth; his siblings, Sara Hampton, Tommy Donley and wife Betty, Jerry Donley and wife Glenda; 9 grandchildren - Bradley Cantrell, Lindsey Cantrell, Robin Lowry and husband Cyle, Ryan Farmer and wife Noel, Matthew Farmer, Tyler Adcock and wife Katie, Alexis Adcock, Jessica Franco, Rusty Bradshaw and wife Wendy. 8 Great grandchildren - Keeley Cantrell, Anthony Lowry, Christian Lowry, Evie Mae Lowry, Emberlynn Adcock, Maya Franco, Marcus Woodall, Asher Woodall.Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Grandpa Grape or simply Charles are just a few of the names he was known by. Charles had a heart the size of Texas. He always had a smile and a hug waiting - but watch out because he also had a joke in the chamber. On any given day you could find him sitting on his front porch swing or at the kitchen counter. He loved the outdoors, fishing was his favorite past time along with watching his grandchildren play sports. He spent 40 years devoted to the love of his life Dell Donley and raised their 4 children together. Charles was a steel worker/ pipe inspector for 32 years at Lone Star Steel where he retired in 2003. He enjoyed watching westerns and wrestling on tv. Coffee at 2pm became a daily routine at Jack's Fine Food with his sons and friends as well as 7am coffee dates on every Saturday morning with his sons and other family. Charles was also a dedicated member of The Texarkana Elk's Lodge #2771 where he gained many friends.No matter what his title was in your life, Charles held a special place in so many hearts. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Springdale Cemetery, Queen City, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro.
