Charles D. Gravitt

Charles D. Gravitt, age 81, of Buford, Georgia, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on March 12, 1945, in Cumming, Georgia, he was the son of the late Tom and Helen Millwood Gravitt. He graduated from South Hall High School and retired from John Deere Company after 31 years in the Shipping and Receiving Department.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Gravitt; his sisters, Dorothy Adams, Rachael Blalock, and June Pass; his brothers, Calvin Gravitt, Ben Gravitt, and Gene Gravitt; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gladston and Edna Pugh Puckett.

Charles was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Sandra Puckett Gravitt. He is survived by his son, Don (Rachel) Gravitt; grandchildren, Brian Gravitt, Sarah Beth Gravitt, Hannah Claire Gravitt, and Charles Don Gravitt; his sisters, Barbara (Jim) West and Bertha Gravitt Dispain; and brothers-in-law, Joel (Cindy) Puckett and Wayne Puckett, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A lifelong member and deacon of Harmony Baptist Church in Buford, Charles was active in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and farming, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his grandchildren and cherishing his family.
