Charles Compton

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Compton of Anderson, South Carolina, born in Royston, Georgia, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Aaron Compton and Margie Elizabeth Floyd Compton; his son Steve Compton; and his brother Eddie Compton. He is survived by: his children, Aaron Compton (Beverly) and Dee Beebe (Randy); and his grandchildren, Justin Compton (Jennifer), Brittany Hayes (Jason), Michael Beebe (Jill), Austin Beebe (Kaitlyn), Brandon Compton (Barb) and Brandie Vaughn (Austin). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Andersonville Baptist Church (6902 Dobbins Bridge Rd, Anderson, SC 29626). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
