Charles and Charlotte HatcherIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our parents Charlotte Irene Hatcher, 69 and Charles (Charlie) Lanyard Hatcher, 78, of Redwood Valley. Charlotte passed away after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma on Friday June 7th, 2019. Charlie quietly passed away after a courageous battle with Liver Cancer surrounded by his family on Monday, February 16th, 2026. Charlotte was born September 17, 1949, to William and Lorraine Pomeroy in Auburn, CA. Charlie was born on August 20, 1947, to Adolphus and Lillian Hatcher in Chelsea, Oklahoma. Charlotte was a 1967 Ukiah High graduate and Charlie was a 1966 Willits High School graduate. Charlie enlisted with the United States Army and was in active service from 1966 to 1968, then with the Army Reserves until 1970. Both retired from Mendocino Forest Products, Charlotte in 2008 and Charlie in 2016. They are survived by their children Michelle Hatcher, Julie Hatcher (Curtis Barbour), Jennifer Bush (Jason Bush), Jacyln Kent (Kevin Patrick), Jack Hatcher and Patrick Hatcher. Grandchildren: Cody Hatcher (Erica Hatcher), Brianna Murray (Dalton Murray), Dakota Berndt. Justin Hatcher (Lori Hatcher) and Casey Barbour (Leah Barbour). Janelle Thomas (Jesse Thomas) and Corey Bush (Katelynn Bush). Danelle Barger, Mathew Kent and Nick Kent. Justine Hatcher and Trenton Hatcher. Morgann Hatcher and Aria Hatcher as well as leaving behind 15 Great-Grandchildren. Siblings: Carl Hatcher (Ann Hatcher) and Doug Hatcher, William Pomeroy and Joseph Fowler, sisters Mary Dodd and Joyce Brooks as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. They are both preceded in death by their parents, multiple siblings, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Graveside services for both will be held on Friday March 27th, 2026 3pm at Russian River Cemetery. Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
