Heil, 96, of Whitehall, previously of Salisbury Township, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Mrytie (Rodgers) Heil to whom he was married 67 years prior to her passing. Born at home, in Allentown, December 6, 1929, Charles was the son of the late Cleo and Elsie (Heffelfinger) Heil. He retired from 3M company in 1981. Prior to that, he was employed at Tidy Dydee Diaper Service. Charles was a member of the former Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Allentown and a member of the former Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown where he had served on consistory and was property committee chairman. An avid ballroom dancer, Charles was a member and past president of the USA Dance Club and the Cotillion Dance Club. He was an active 25-year lifetime volunteer member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital Auxiliary.Survivors: sons, Jeffrey S. Heil and his wife, Kathy of Lancaster, Brian C. Heil and his wife, Annmarie of San Francisco; sister, Elaine Apple of Whitehall; grandchildren, Kristin Grover and her husband, Cory of Orefield, Benjamin Heil and his wife, Marissa of Orlando, Amanda Kremser and her husband, Matt of Kelowana, British Columbia; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Gavin, Isabella, Charles; predeceased by siblings, Dolores Albert, Robert Heil, Erma Grim.Service: A private service will be held at Fellowship Community at the convenience of his family. The Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
