Charles Allen Kinyon

Charles Allen “Chuck” Kinyon of Mason, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on December 20, 1952, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Chuck was the son of Lyle and Marie (Keehn) Kinyon. Raised in Mason, he graduated from Mason High School with the Class of 1970. He began his working life at the Fisher Body plant before finding his true calling in construction. A highly skilled carpenter, Chuck took great pride in his craftsmanship and completed countless roofing, bar-building, and home remodeling projects throughout the Lansing, Eaton Rapids, and Mason areas.

Hunting was Chuck’s greatest passion. He harvested many impressive bucks over the years and cherished his time spent outdoors. He traveled to Colorado to hunt elk and was fortunate to draw a Michigan elk tag, allowing him to pursue the animal in his home state. Chuck was also a longtime member of the Michigan Steam Engine and Threshers Club in Mason, where he participated in many events and generously built memorial benches to honor fellow members who had passed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister, Linda Kinyon. Chuck is survived by his brother, Ken (Jeanette) Kinyon, his sister, Nancy (David) Middleman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
