Charles Allen Detro

MAYSVILLE – Charles Allen Detro passed away March 15, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Charlie was born July 2, 1948, in Maysville to the late Robert A. Detro and Elizabeth Catron Detro. He was retired from Browning Manufacturing where he worked as a quality control manager. Charlie enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and spending time with family. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Perleen (Johnson) Detro; his sons Robert (Belinda) Detro and Michael (Barbie) Detro all of Maysville; grandchildren, Brittany (Walter) Detro, Cory (Lauren) Detro and Dylan Detro; great-grandchildren, Braxton Wallingford, Ellison Detro and Delilah Detro; sisters, Betty (Tom) VandeVoorde of Florida, Judy Calhoun of Indiana; and a brother Peter Detro of Ohio. In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by brothers, Robert Detro and Russell Detro. Funeral services for Charles Detro will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Burn officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Mason County Cemetery with military honors provided by Simon Kenton Post VFW #2734. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
