Charlene "Cookie" Mickevich, 84, of Carver, passed away on March 13, 2026 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Mickevich and the devoted mother of the late Michael S. Mickevich, both of Carver.
Born and raised in Boston, Cookie moved to Carver in the mid-1980s. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an administrative assistant with the Boston Public Schools, where she was admired as a powerhouse organizer and project manager. She took great pleasure in playing bingo with friends, traveling to Atlantic City with her husband, and making trips to Las Vegas with her son and daughter-in-law. A lifelong lover of animals, she cherished the many cats and dogs that shared her home over the years. She was an avid reader and remained deeply devoted to her Catholic faith throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving son John (Teddy) and daughter-in-law Allison, her sister Claire, her daughter Charlene, and many relatives from the Murphy, White, and Anglin families. She will be greatly missed by her many neighborhood friends and former colleagues from the Boston Public Schools.
