Charissa Beers ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Nelsons Cremation & Funeral Services - Gaylord on Mar. 7, 2026.Charissa Ann Beers, age 51, of Vanderbilt, Michigan, slipped away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Charissa once said when consoling another that "God picks the prettiest flowers"... on Thursday, God decided it was time to pick Char.Char was a kind, caring, and FUN soul. So full of love for others. And, when she loved, she loved fiercely, and there was no one she loved more than her family. Especially her grandbabies…She went by "Char", and "Mama", but her proudest name was "Mimi." Char loved throwing parties for any occasion she could think of. She baked the best cookies, and every holiday was her favorite holiday. She adored everyone and continuously showered people in love. When they were celebrating, or when they were going through hard times, Charissa always found ways to let people know how much she cared, no matter what she was personally going through. She loved the "little" things in life. She loved ALL things Disney and 80s nostalgia. She loved watching her classic TV shows next to her little chihuahua, Belleina.. She loved sleepovers with her grandkids, and loved chatting it up with the people on her little Facebook. There was nowhere Charissa could go without making a new close friend. She was SO much stronger than she knew; she was more beautiful than she let herself realize. The world should know that Charissa fought through this last battle with an admirable amount of strength. She would have been so moved by the prayers and thoughts she received because she truly loved so many… and so many loved her. She would be thankful for all those that helped take care of her family when she isn't here to do so.A simple cliché obituary would not define Char correctly. She was the world's most unique daughter, mother, Mimi and friend…. She was the most joyous human being on the planet and deserves to be remembered boldly for all the things she was, and all the incredible things she did for others.Everything now will forever be a bit more still and lonely without her vibrant presence. Char's family isn't sure how they will go on without her…. However, please, never forget Char, her laugh, her voice, her energy, her adorable curly hair, her proud shoe collection, and the way she always had to match her clothes. But above all, remember that even when it was a little broken, her heart loved deeply.Charissa is survived by her beloved Mother Clara Beers, her loving daughters, Bianca Valentine and Sabrah VanDoren, and their spouses, Adam Valentine and Natalie VanDoren, and her cherished grandchildren, Zaelyn Valentine, Ryott Morales, and Xander & Illarah Holm. Further survivors include her aunts, Helen News and Sheila Bastedo, along with her dear and faithful companion, Belleina.Charissa was predeceased by her father, Gary Beers, and her brother, Lance Beers. her grandmother, Patricia Elder, her Uncle, William "Billy" Bastedo, her Aunts, Mary "Mable" Medick, Sara Bastedo, and Candy Bastedo, and her best little friend, Paris Jean.Memorial contributions are appreciated to Charissa's organized campaign, https://gofund.me/047be751d.
