Taylor Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.Charine Leenette (Eans) Sims was born on August 13, 1959, in La Grange, Texas, to the late Rena (Caldwell) Eans and Dell McKenzie. At a young age, she dedicated her life to Christ and was baptized at St. Matthew Baptist Church in La Grange.She attended La Grange High School, graduating with the Class of 1977, and later continued her education at Blinn Junior College.Charine began her professional journey as a Unit Clerk at Fayette Memorial Hospital before relocating to Houston, Texas. After holding various positions, she found her true calling at Memorial Hermann, where she devoted 28 years of faithful service before retiring.In 1979, Charine married Larry Sims, and together they were blessed with two beloved children, Justin Sims and Kashlyn Sims-Krupicka, who brought her immense pride and joy.On Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11:45 p.m., Charine peacefully entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rena Caldwell Eans; her father, Dell McKenzie; her sister, Dorothy "Jean" Brown; and her brothers, Robert Caldwell and Melvin "Melroy" Eans.She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Justin Sims (Venessa), and her loving daughter, Kashlyn Krupicka (Matthew). She also leaves five cherished grandchildren: Londyn Williams, Elijah "Eli" Sims, Chase Krupicka, Ayren Krupicka, and Natalia Campbell.Charine is also survived by her brothers: Charles Nuetton of Houston, Texas; Craig Eans and Franklin "Mickey" Eans (Maxine) of La Grange, Texas; and Darrell Eans (Shenell) and Ronald "Ronnie" Eans (Marjorie) of Houston, Texas.She will also be fondly remembered by her bonus daughters, Kristi Williams and Tia Barginear; her bonus sisters, Maricia "Kitty" Butcher and Rosemary "Rose" Brimmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever treasure her life and legacy.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Charine Leenette (Eans) Sims, please visit our floral store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
