Chad Anthony DeHart

Chad Anthony DeHart, a native of Houma and longtime resident of Violet, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 53.

Chad was an avid fan of NASCAR racing, classic rock music, wrestling, and shooting pool. A free spirit who was often the loudest voice in any room, he loved his family unconditionally and shared a special bond with his dog, Sugar.

He is survived by his parents, Mona and Bobby Samanie; his sister, Tiffany Samanie Legendre (Peter Orgeron Jr.); his son, Robert Williams V (Amy); his daughter, Monica DeHart Bouziga (Derrik); his grandchildren, Dawsyn, Elise, Lennix, and Logan; and his nephews, Ethan and Blake. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Tony DeHart and Bruce Voisin, and his grandparents, Easton DeHart, Lovell DeHart, and Bula DeHart.
