July 29, 1980— March 11, 2026
Greensburg, PA
Chad Andrew Skiavo, 45, of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at home. Born on July 29, 1980, in Jeannette, he was the son of Gennaro and Patricia A. Nalevanko Skiavo.
A graduate of Greensburg Salem High School in 1998, Chad went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hill University in 2002. He was the first Seton Hill graduate to earn a double major in Art and Technology, graduating as Salutatorian and serving as the featured artist that year. He worked as Senior Order Processing Specialist for Polyconcepts in New Kensington. Known as a gentle giant, Chad was a deeply creative and artistic soul whose work was showcased in his own art show at Seton Hill. A self-taught musician who played both drums and guitar, he was also an avid Penguins fan. His favorite color was purple, and Halloween was his cherished holiday, for which he created elaborate indoor and outdoor displays each year. Sunday night Italian family dinners brought him special joy, especially the time spent playing with his niece Josie Rose and recently teaching her to juggle. He had a habit of leaving home with the words, “Love you and be careful.”
Chad shared a close bond with his father, talking sports and often outsmarting him with facts, and each spring he made sure his mother had fresh perennials for her gardens. He and his sister Summer maintained a loving relationship, speaking nearly every day and spending time together each week. He was the best big brother, always there for her. He shared many laughs with his brother-in-law Dan, who appreciated Chad’s quick wit and sense of humor. Over the past six years, he was blessed with many new adventures alongside his soulmate, Erin.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Elizabeth Jurick Nalevanko, and his paternal grandparents, Gennaro “Geno” and Jenny Cherubini Skiavo.
Chad is survived by his parents, Gennaro “Geno” and Patricia “Tric” Nalevanko Skiavo; his soulmate, Erin Beal of Greensburg; his sister, Summer Bridge (Dan) of Greensburg; uncles Rich and Tom Nalevanko; aunt Cynthia Nalevanko; several cousins; his special niece, Josie Rose; and the beloved family French Bulldog, Frankie. He will also be greatly missed by Erin’s niece Freya and nephew Odin. A caring man who always did his best for others, Chad will live on in the hearts of those who loved him forever and ever.
