Celia Moreno Miranda

Celia Moreno Miranda was born on October 12, 1931, in Miami, Arizona, to Ignacio and Josephine Moreno. For 94 years she embraced the roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, tia, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to so many. She passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Montclair, California.

Celia devoted her life to her husband, Ysidro Miranda, sharing 61 years of marriage with him before his passing. Together they built a family to whom she gave every part of herself. She remained deeply connected to her son, Ysidro Miranda, her granddaughters Ysidra Mercier and Christina Breceda, their spouses Erik Mercier and Eric Breceda, her grandchildren Sky Mercier, Logan Mercier, Payton Breceda, and Sarina Breceda, and her constant little companion, her chihuahua Spotty.

She filled the lives of those around her with an enduring love for life and people. Celia expressed her affection through warm hugs and kisses, daily phone calls, lively conversations, shared laughter, and the stories she told to keep memories alive. Her joy was evident in the happiness of her voice and the smile that so often lit her face. She will be remembered for the many lives she touched simply by being present, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know and love her.
