Cathryn Edwards ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 9, 2026.Cathryn "Cathy" Edwards, 83, of Crestline, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, at her home.Cathy was born on October 3, 1942, in Ypsilanti, MI, to the late Gusie and Grace (Rucker) Doyle.Cathy had a passion for photography, capturing precious moments and the simple wonders of life through her lens. Her creative spirit also showed in the many hours she spent cross stitching and knitting, lovingly crafting pieces that will remain treasured keepsakes for those fortunate enough to receive them.She loved music, laughter, and the lively community of square dancing. Cathy was an active member of the "Bucks & Does" group, where she formed many friendships and shared countless happy memories.Animals held a special place in Cathy's heart, especially cats and dogs. She was particularly devoted to Persian cats and took great pride in showing them. Among them all, her beloved cat Apache was especially dear to her and brought her great companionship and joy.Above all else, Cathy's greatest love was her family-especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.Cathy is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Kat) Magda of Mansfield; three grandchildren; her siblings, Chuck (Donna) Doyle of Columbus, Wendy Doyle of Crestline and Lenny (Darlene) Doyle of Columbus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Doyle.Cathy will be laid to rest in Tecumseh, MI, in Brookside Cemetery.Those wishing to share a memory of Cathy or send condolences to the Edwards family may do so by visiting www.masfh.com.The Gompf Funeral Service - Crestline Chapel, 223 W.
