Cathleen Rasmussen lived with fierce spirit and boundless curiosity from her earliest days until her final peaceful moments. Uncompromising in her independence, she shaped every chapter of her life with intention and courage. She found joy in classic rock, photography, and the historical mysteries she loved to explore, pursuing each passion with unmatched intensity. Known for her indomitable will, she stood firmly for what she believed in and never backed down from a challenge.

She met Jay in the early days of AOL and chose him as her lifelong partner, building a life filled with devotion and shared joy. The couple married in 1996 and welcomed their son Michael in 2006, a role she embraced with deep love, pride, and gratitude. Nature and the outdoors brought her peace, inspiring countless photographs and cherished memories with her family.

Courage defined Cathleen’s six-year battle with pancreatic cancer, a fight she carried far beyond every expectation. Even as her illness advanced, she continued learning, reading, and seeking understanding with the same fire she brought to everything in life. She will be remembered for her strength, her passions, and her unwavering love, leaving behind a legacy that endures in every heart she touched. She is survived by her husband Jay and their son Michael.
