CATHLEEN CLINTON ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by McGorray-Hanna Funeral Homes of Westlake on Mar. 10, 2026.Cathleen Ann Clinton ("Cathie" or "Kate"), a beloved sister, devoted aunt, loyal friend, and cherished member of a large and loving Irish family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.Born on March 30, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, Cathie lived a life marked by independence, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and faith. A proud graduate of Magnificat High School, she attended Emmanuel College in Boston and later earned a Master's degree in Art History from Georgetown University.Cathie built a meaningful career in fundraising and philanthropy as a Development Officer, dedicating her talents to causes she deeply believed in. She worked with many significant non-profit organizations across Washington D.C. reflecting both her professional skill and her caring heart.She was born to Charles and Mary Hennessy Clinton (both deceased) and was preceded in death by her husband, William Mullen; her brother, Charles "Clint" Clinton (Mary Clinton); and her sister, Constance "Connie" French. She is survived by her sister, Caroline Clinton Farrar and brothers-in-law Jim Farrar and Jim French.Cathie was a constant and supportive presence in the lives of her ten nieces and nephews, as well as a bevy of great-nieces and great-nephews. She delighted in watching them grow, celebrating milestones, and offering humor and wisdom along the way. She enjoyed traveling, reading, current events, puzzles, a good game of Scrabble, volunteering, sending cards to loved ones and attending live performances and cultural events throughout Washington, D.C.Known for her generous spirit and sincere curiosity, she will be remembered for her independence and the care she showed to everyone fortunate enough to know her.A celebration of life will be held at the chapel at Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio on Friday, May 15th at 1pm ET.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Magnificat High School or OROC (oroc.org), a Cleveland-based nonprofit dedicated to raising ovarian cancer awareness, an organization meaningful to Cathie and her family.
