It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Sue Riggins of Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley W. Burger and Doris J. Burger (Walker); her grandchildren, Brenden M. Riggins and Ricki Jo Riggins; and her brother David W. Burger.

She is survived by: her children, Melissa A Riggins of Greenville and Thomas L Riggins of Wood River; her grandchildren, Scott (Kaylynn Riggins), Makenzie Riggins of Bethalto, Alexis (Johnathan Williams), Kaylee Massey of Greenville, Carl Riggins of Wood River and Caleb England of Wood River; her great grandchildren, Elaina, Ava, Landyn, Kaesyn, RiLynn and Mylah Riggins; and her sisters, Nancy (Larry Blankenship) and Helen (Jim Morrisey).

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home (205 E Lorena Ave, Wood River, IL 62095).
