The recitation of the Rosary will take place in the church at 10:30. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Reverend J. Antony Das Gaspar, Very Reverend Richard C. Wilson, VF, and Reverend David Arnoldt celebrants.Cathy was a native of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, having made North Augusta her home for the past 75 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. In addition to her love for the church, her family and friends, Cathy was an avid reader and bridge player. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Paterson, NJ and retired as a registered Nurse from St. Joseph's Hospital in Augusta, GA.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis S. Parker; three brothers, Monsignor Edward Szapka, Clement Szapka and Alfred Szapka; two sisters, Helen Fadnek and Cecelia Klemski.Survivors included two sons, Lewis Edward Parker and his spouse Jane, Houston, TX and Thomas John Parker, North Augusta, SC; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta is in charge of the arrangements.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
