Catherine Collins Price, known affectionately as Cathy, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Calvin Collins and the late Nell Williams Collins Steele.

Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and took deep pride in watching her family grow. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories. A loyal Gamecock fan, she also found strength and fellowship through her faith as a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rock Hill.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, James “Jimmy” Price. Cathy leaves behind her cherished granddaughters, Halley Boatwright and Callie Boatwright Tapley (Phillip), and her treasured great-grandchildren, Jackson Tapley, Rhiannon Tapley, and Hazel Tapley. She is also survived by her special cousins Lyndyll Williams (Olivia); her nieces and nephews, Roy Greene, Donna Greene Sanders, Joanne Greene, Karen Greene McCrackin, April Williams, Josh Williams (Julia), Tammy Wicker (John), and Debbie Portis (Bill); her son-in-law Chris Boatwright; and two dear friends, Jean Earl and Danna Andrews.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Dana Price Boatwright, and by her siblings, Nace Williams (Sybil), Francis Greene (Bobby), and Ann Straight (Denny).
