CATERINA PARENTE (nee DiVito), age 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Beloved wife of Biagio for 69 years; loving mother of Maria Parente, Giuseppe Parente (Michelle), Francesca Zappitelli (Mike) and Anita Gailyard (Sean); cherished Nonna of Amelia (Carlos), Giovanni (Gina), Desiree (John), Katrina (Gerry), Brianna (Josh), Michala, Elysia (Mark), Savian and Sergio; great-nonna of Alexis, Genevieve, Biagio, Giancarlo, Luca and Santiago; great-great nonna of Zakaria, Zameera and Grayson; daughter of the late Raimondo and Dorothea DiVito; devoted sister of Mariano DiVito (Anna Maria) (both deceased), Val DiVito (deceased) (Joyce), John DiVito (deceased) (Judy), Rose Leanza (Sam, deceased), Clara DiPaolo (Felix) (both deceased) and Mary Marotta (deceased) (Gino); loving aunt and dear friend of many. She lived with a deep love of family, remarkable strength, and a selfless heart that always put others before herself. Our love for her will never be forgotten, and she will always remain in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd., Parma, Friday March 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. Private entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum.
