He was a Christian and attended Chase Oaks Church in Plano.Carter attended McMillen High School in Murphy, where he was known as an all-around athlete and a gifted student. He played hockey, football and ran cross country and track. He embraced every opportunity to compete, grow, and encourage those around him. More than anything, Carter was a natural leader who had a gift for bringing people together. Those who knew Carter will remember his bright smile, kind nature, and joyful spirit. He loved to joke around and there was truly never a dull moment when he was nearby. Animals sensed his gentle spirit and naturally loved him as much as he loved them. Carter had a strong sense of self and carried himself with compassion, strength, and kindness. He was responsible, self-motivated, and thoughtful toward others.Carter enjoyed a variety of activities and hobbies. He loved playing video games, along with chess, skateboarding, swimming, riding bikes, camping and doing flips on the trampoline. He also had a playful side and especially enjoyed "poking at" his older brothers. Although he liked to joke around, and sometimes irritate his brothers, his love for them was fierce, and he was so proud and protective of them. His time on the ice with his brother Caleb was particularly special to Carter.Above all, Carter loved his family deeply. He adored his parents, grandparents, brothers, and sisters. His warmth, laughter, and bright spirit made him a true ray of light to everyone who knew him.Though his time here was far too short, Carter's kindness, joy, and the love he shared with others will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.Carter is survived by his mother, Jamie Heise and Michael Martin of Murphy, Texas; father, Ryan Heise and Kimberly Heise of Murphy, Texas; grandmother, Barbie Loeffel of San Antonio, Texas; grandparents, Don and Sybil Heise of Guymon, Oklahoma; step-grandparents, Frank and Susan Ritchie of Rowlett, Texas; brothers, Cole, Cooper and Caleb Heise of Murphy, Texas; stepsisters, Liberty and Lainey Morgan of Murphy, Texas; stepbrother, Mike Martin of Plano, Texas; stepbrother, Tanner Rouquette and wife, Shawna of Richardson, Texas; nephews and niece, Francis, Hendrix and Sharlot of Richardson, Texas; uncle, Michael Moore and wife, Robin of San Antonio, Texas; aunt, Shannon Moore and husband, Dion of Winters, California; uncle, Alan Heise and wife, Anna Lane Barfield of Charlotte, North Carolina; uncle, Will Heise and wife, Elyse of Jones, Oklahoma; and cousins, James, Eva, Mia, Dean, Amelia, Christopher, Savannah and Adam; along with an extensive host of other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Loeffel, step-grandmother, Teresa Esposito, step-grandfather, Louis Martin, and step-uncle, Louis P.
