Coushatta, LA - A Celebration of life for Carrie Orr McDonald, 58, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, on March 14, 2026 at Abundant Life Worship Center in Coushatta, LA with Pastor Jeffrey Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the church with refreshment for friends and family to follow in the Family Life Center. Carrie Orr McDonald was born December 18, 1967 and entered into heaven gates on January 23, 2026 after fearlessly battling cancer. She was an active member of Abundant Life Worship Center where she served in many ways; she taught children’s Sunday school for over ten years, helped decorate the church’s Christmas tree every year and would volunteer for any event being planned. Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Jo Orr, brother, Michael E. Orr, aunt, Robbie S. Johnson, uncle, Claude Veatch and aunt Bobbie J. Kern. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rachel Lindsey and son, Eric Lindsey; 5 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.; sister, Rhonda Long, brother, Gary Orr, sister -in-law Lynette Orr, sister cousins, Allison Valcho, LaJuana Reeves, Cathy Bell, Karen V. Pardee and Karla Anderson along with numerous nieces, nephews and best friends (Jennifer N., Ponda W., Rita E., Cynthia N., Rachel B. & Kelly J.), fresh flowers and plants may be received by the family at the church or in lieu of flowers, donation may be made to her daughter at the gofundme link https://gofund.me/7bcaeadc3 to care for Carries beloved cats (Lil Mama & Itty Bitty).
