It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Thesing of Reinbeck, Iowa, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Thesing; her brother Robert Kruse; and her siblings-in-law, LuVerne Bakker, Bud Henze and Gloria Henze.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff Thesing (Kim), Laura Houghton (Larry), Mark Thesing (Angie) and Julie Harberts; her grandchildren, Jeremy Thesing (Erica), Tara Thesing, Matt Thesing (Brooke), Justin Thesing, Dirk Thesing (Shaina), Brynn Prier (James), Colton Harberts (Hailey), Rosa Houghton, Christian Houghton, Ricardo Houghton, Teralynn Christian (Drew), Chad Houghton (Britani) and Aaron Houghton; her siblings, Doug Kruse (Connie) and Charlotte Bakker; and her sister-in-law Barb Kruse. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (207 Randall St, Reinbeck, IA 50669). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
