Carolyn Sue Coomer

Carolyn Sue Coomer, age 82, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia. Born on January 31, 1944, in Adair County, Kentucky, Carolyn lived a life centered on her deep devotion to family, faith, and community.

Known for her warm spirit and creative talents, she was a longtime member of the Egypt Christian Church. She found great joy in crocheting and quilting, yet nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family and friends, connections she cherished throughout her years.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Dalton Coomer, Loy Coomer (Rita), and Darrell Coomer (Connie), all of Columbia, Kentucky. Carolyn also leaves behind cherished sisters-in-law Shirley Coomer, Virginia Coomer, and Annette Coomer, along with several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jerome and Gladys Munday Coomer, and by her siblings Selby, Garry, Glenn, Woodson, James Maxey, Alton, Larry, and John Wayne Coomer, as well as her sister-in-law Faye Coomer.
