Carolyn Sue Cochran

Carolyn Sue Cochran, 69, of Georgetown, Kentucky, widow of the late Michael Cochran, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 4, 2026. Born on March 11, 1956, in Matewan, West Virginia, to the late Eddie and Lilly Williams, she spent more than thirty years working in nursing homes in Georgetown as head of housekeeping. Known for her kindness and tireless willingness to help, she worked alongside CNAs and RNs, doing whatever was needed short of dispensing medication. She was deeply loved by residents and staff alike.

Carolyn is survived by her three children, Lisa Marie Alexander, Michael Francis Cochran, and Timmy Lee Winburn; her daughter-in-law, Heather Cooper; her granddaughter, Felicia Ann Worley; two great-grandchildren, Genec and Olivia; and three grandchildren she raised as her own, Michael, Austin, and Hailey. She was also cherished by a host of family and friends, including many children of friends who regarded her as a godmother. She remained a steadfast supporter of her children’s dreams and life choices, offering encouragement whether they pursued careers in slap fighting, professional wrestling, or any other path.

Her family will carry the love and strength she gave them for the rest of their lives. Carolyn will be profoundly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
