Carolyn Ruth Roberts Massey

Carolyn Ruth Roberts Massey, 83, of Doerun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Whigham, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 7, 1942, in Moultrie, Georgia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Devon Hayes Roberts and the late Verdie Lee Hatchcock Roberts. She worked for many years as a teller at Moultrie National Bank and was a longtime, devoted member of First Baptist Church of Doerun. She later continued her career with dedicated service in the Office of the Clerk of Courts in Colquitt County until her retirement. Carolyn deeply cherished her family, especially the time spent with her beloved grandchildren. She found joy in family gatherings, riding the golf cart, visiting Montana, fishing, and admiring the beauty of flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant twin siblings, her brother David Devon Roberts, and her grandson Clint Knight.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Massey; her son, Myron Massey; her daughter, Gina Massey Knight, and son-in-law, Donald; grandchildren Landon Knight and wife Abby, Carson Knight and wife Hillary, Johnny Knight and wife Bridget, and Jason Knight and wife Allison; great-grandchildren Hayley Ferguson and husband Matthew, Myles Knight, Nick Knight and wife Taylor, Shelby Knight, Rylee Knight, Audrey Knight, Kase Knight, Hudson Knight, and Kye Knight; great-great-grandchildren Holland Knight and Liam Ferguson; and many other extended family members and friends.
