Carolyn Mae Hearn Roberts passed away on March 9, 2026 at the age of 82. Born on July 27, 1943 to the late Frazier C. and Eula Bell Hearn, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth touched everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Ray Roberts; her mother- and father-in-law, William Kelvey and Georgia Rebecca Williamson Roberts; her sister, Evelyn Hearn Teel; her brothers, Glenn Hearn, Frazier Hearn, and William Hearn; her brother-in-law, Danny Hawkins; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Emmett Mitchell; and her niece, Deborah Powell.
For more than 30 years, Carolyn worked in the shoe department at Wal-Mart, where her warm smile and helpful spirit made her a beloved presence in the community. A longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church, she found joy in the ladies’ sewing group, where she formed lasting friendships while creating garments and sharing laughter. She was also known throughout her family for her exceptional cooking, especially her chicken casserole, chicken and dumplings, cathead biscuits, grilled cheese, and turkey and dressing. Her meals drew loved ones together, filling the air with wonderful aromas and creating cherished memories around the table.
Above all, Carolyn treasured time with her family. She was a nurturing matriarch who offered unwavering love and support to those around her. She is survived by her children, Kim Rhodes, Ray Roberts, Lisa Daniels, and Renee' Lovelady; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her siblings, Linda Hawkins, Betty Joyce Davis, Sharon Owens, and Gerald Hearn.
