Born September 6, 1947 in Montgomery, Alabama to Eugene and Barbara Doggett Skinner . Veteran of the U S Air Force, two tours of duty in the Philippines and Thailand, Discharged as a First Lieutenant from active duty, then entered the reserves and later the inactive reserves until her day of passing and reaching the rank of Major. Carolyn was a very talented and intelligent person. She was a member of the Mensa Society, and a published author. She loved working as a librarian at St. Philips Episcopal School in Dallas, TX. and later retiring from Cockrell Hill Elementary School in DeSoto, TX as librarian. She even practiced Belly Dancing as a hobby. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Allen L. Garner, Jr. of Irving, TX, brother, Kent E. Skinner of Wylie, TX and sister, Barbara R. Skinner of Knoxville, TN. A Committal Cememony with Military Honors will be conducted at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery
