Carolyn Ellison Williams

Carolyn Ellison Williams, 76, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of Bettye Ellison Nelson and the late Lee Maxwell.

She is survived by her two daughters, Becky “Nikki” Williams and Blair Williams, both of Greenville, South Carolina; her son, Jamuel Williams, of Greenville; three sisters, Linda (Roosevelt) Boozer and Brenda (Wallace) McClinton, both of Abbeville, South Carolina, and Eunice Johnson of Greenville; one brother, Michael (Stephanie) Ellison of Columbia, South Carolina; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Carolyn lived a life rooted in family and community, leaving behind loved ones who will cherish her memory.
