She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Chatham and Willie G. Addison Chatham; her husband John Thomas Burdette; her children, Tommy W. Burdette, Angela B. Cathey and John Thomas Burdette Jr. (Andrea); her siblings, Doris Jones, Roy Chatham, David Chatham, James Chatham and Kenneth Chatham; and her stepmother Mildred Chatham.
She is survived by: her children, James T. Burdette (Ginger) and Betty B. Milford-Hankin (Mitchell); her daughter-in-law Angie Burdette; her siblings, Mary Jane Chatham and Larry Chatham; and her grandchildren, Whitney Velie (Clinton), Bethany Velie (Nathaniel), Britiney McCombs (Bevin), Dray Burdette (Emily), Blake Burdette (Kirstin), Hannah B. Cox (William), April Milford Ward (Kevin), Alexander Milford (Melani), Thomas M. Burdette, Alexis Bianco (Anthony), Tanner Burdette, Rev. Christopher Cathey (Rachel), John Cathey (Amie) and Michelle Cathey Eaton (Matthew). She is also survived by 31 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sosebee Mortuary (3219 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
